euspen’s 12th International Conference and Exhibition
Location: Nacka Strandsmässan, Nacka Strand, Stockholm, Sweden
Date: 4 June 2012
- 8 June 2012
Significant advancement in precision engineering and nanotechnology has been borne from inventions and technologies pioneered in Sweden. Names such as Celsius, Johansson and Wingquist support such a view.
Likewise Sweden’s high technology industry relies on progress made within these fields. Many Swedish companies excel in sectors relevant to euspen such as aerospace, automotives, bearings, cutting tools, medical devices, micro-electronics and telecoms.
It is fitting therefore that euspen, the leading European Society for Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology, is taking its 12th International meeting to Sweden and its beautiful capital city. With its wonderful architecture and archipelago Stockholm is often referred to as “the Venice of the North”. Whilst an ultra modern city, it also presents historical palaces, buildings and museums that befit a European capital city.
This meeting and exhibition will again provide a unique opportunity for industrialists and academics to review the best of world-wide industrial innovation, state-of-the-art research and technology developments. Delegates will gain an insight to Sweden's unique mix of advanced technologies, business activities and science achievements.
euspen, together with our local hosts from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, will ensure you become acquainted with some Swedish cuisine, history and enjoy Stockholm’s special ambience.
Hexagon Metrology will be a sponsor of the evening networking dinner on 6th June at the Vasa Museum, home to the salvaged 17th century 64-gun warship Vasa which sunk on her maiden voyage in 1628. You are invited to join a guided tour around the ship before sitting down to a sumptuous dinner in the banquet hall with spectacular views of the Vasa.
